Safe African Perishables Ltd (SPerishables) is building a practical cold chain platform that combines transport, storage, and aggregation infrastructure to improve how perishable goods move from producers to markets.

Our approach is to scale from operational logistics into modular cold storage hubs and cold market facilities that increase storage capacity, improve distribution efficiency, and reduce losses across the supply chain.

By connecting producers, markets, and logistics through reliable cold chain systems, we aim to support agricultural productivity, strengthen food security, and create more efficient food distribution networks across Nigeria, with future expansion across Africa.

WHY COLD CHAIN MATTERS

Nigeria produces significant volumes of perishable agricultural products, yet much of this value is lost due to gaps in storage, aggregation, and temperature controlled logistics.

Limited access to reliable cold storage, fragmented distribution channels, and inconsistent power supply often lead to shortened shelf life, reduced product quality, and financial losses for farmers, traders, and food businesses.

Strengthening cold chain infrastructure is therefore essential not only to reduce food waste, but also to improve market access, stabilise supply chains, and support agricultural growth across the country.
